Diagnostics and Defect Resolution This is a very dynamic group in ST Development that is responsible for fixing Server product defects and delivering high quality fixes base for Data Server Products such as RDBMS, PLSQL, Oracle Net, and Precompilers, in Application Server products such as OC4J, Web Cache and Oracle HTTP Server and in Oracle Collaboration Suite products such as email, iFS, voicemail, and calendar.

Apply proven diagnostic and debugging skills in addition to database internals knowledge for timely resolution of problems. Participate in design reviews of new features in a supportability and maintainability advocate role. Propose and implement diagnostic tools to enable more effective problem resolution. In all aspects of job responsibilities, you will be working as a member of a team dedicated to meeting the technical challenges of responding to real-world database issues on highly complex systems. The technical focus for the position will be on the distributed systems and databases. The individual will also handle the module dealing with object access, object cache, pickling/unpickling of objects in the database.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 5 years industry experience. Excellent problem solving and debugging skills. Expert knowledge of C with development on Unix platforms. Database internals. Deep internal knowledge of any complex piece of software comparable to the Oracle RDBMS server product. Experience in object-oriented area is a plus. Ability to multi-task. Very good written and verbal communications skills
