Reports to:  VP of Sales

Summary:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for presenting products to prospects and customers, evoking confidence in  technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle.  Due to the large volume of prospects and customers this role requires an individual capable of successfully balancing a heavy workload.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Build customized product demonstrations using company’s applications
· Perform presentations, demos, and technical chalk-talks of the company’s solutions to both technical and non-technical buyers
· Identify customers’ needs and sales opportunities to maximize and grow sales
· Provide technical sales assistance to the sales team
· Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and/or certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in this position
· Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management

Required knowledge, skills, education and experience:

· B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
· 3+ years of success in a pre-sales position for Software and/or High Tech infrastructure sales company
· Proficient in presenting and demonstrating technical solutions to technical buyers and executive management
· Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
· Must be detail-oriented and motivated with excellent analytical skills
· Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Strong knowledge of HTML (hand-coding ability).  Familiarity with XML, Javascript and Perl
· Webmaster experience/skill-set
· Experience in script development a plus
· Some travel
