Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work with customers to determine and satisfy their professional services needs
* Serve as the engineer responsible for ensuring "best practices" are used when implementing products
* Act as the lead implementation resource on several projects simultaneously
* Assist or guide contractors as well as internal resources during implementation
* Build proof of concept examples that can then be leveraged by other resources across implementations
* Develop and implement tools / scripts to support infrastructure and site management
* Manage day-to-day operations: Web servers, Perl scripting, traffic reporting and any other related web site issues
* Set up customer databases, bulk marketing email, surveys and news forums/news groups
* Work with IT department to perform other systems support activities as needed
Required knowledge, skills, education and experience:
* Four-year bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
* 2+ years related experience in web design/production environment
* Strong understanding of Web applications and technologies such as database, client/server applications and applicable networking technologies
* Mastery of HTML, web design issues, image optimization for the web, CSS, and other web technologies
* Experience with web scripting languages (including JavaScript, PHP, and ASP)
* Experience with database construction and programming (MySQL and SQL Server)
* Experience using web design and animation tools (Photoshop and Flash)
* Knowledge of capabilities of popular web browsers and web servers
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
* Ability to learn and think creatively, incorporating new technologies into web design
* Excellent interpersonal and professional skills with a focus on service-oriented communication
* Customer oriented
* Strong Perl/CGI/PHP programming experience as well as HTML
* Strong experience with web server technology (Apache)
* Familiarity with UNIX development environment (FreeBSD and Solaris 8)
* Expert in standard web design principles including browser capabilities, screen resolutions, file formats, web color palette
