Network Engineer 415 San Francisco
Essential Job Responsibilities
-Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and integration of data network, including Cisco routers, switches, wireless, bandwidth managers, and network management systems;
-Installation, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, and analysis of security environment
Protocol and traffic analysis using network tools and applications;
-Research, evaluate, develop, and test new technology;
-Monitor network equipment, traffic, and connections in the core network and respond to faults and alarms;
-Manage network and information security projects;
Requirements
-3+ years experience managing Cisco production data networks and security including 802.1, 802.3, 802.11 technologies; TCP/IP, OSPF, RIP;
-Knowledge of network security concepts and tools; Cisco PIX and IDS/IPS experience preferred;
-Knowledge of SNMP Network Management Applications; HP OpenView, CiscoWorks experience preferred;
-Network traffic analysis and application troubleshooting;
-Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and graphic communication;
-Excellent customer service;
-On call rotation for off hours and weekends;
-BS in CS or equivalent; experience can substitute for field of study;
