The suite of Web-native applications provides customers significant advantages over server-based software in reliability, support, ease-of-use, scalability, rapid product innovation and predictable cost structures.
The Professional Services Engineer will deliver technology to our customers by customizing solutions to meet their diverse needs, work with the Vice President of Professional Services to develop and implement best practices for our products, and explore how our products can best benefit our clients. The successful candidate for this position will possess a combination of technical and customer service skills and will show enthusiasm for both aspects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Act as the lead implementation resource on several projects simultaneously
-Build proof of concept examples that can be leveraged across current and future implementations
-Assist or guide contractors as well as internal collaborators during implementation
-Ensure that established “best practices” are used when implementing products
-Communicate customer feedback to engineering team for product direction
-Share lessons learned with the team as well as with implementation partners
Required knowledge, skills, education and experience:
-Four-year bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
-4+ years related experience in web design/production environment
-Strong understanding of web applications and technologies such as database, client/server applications and applicable networking technologies
-Strong experience with Perl/CGI/PHP programming languages and experience with web scripting languages (such as JavaScript, ASP)
-Mastery of HTML, web design issues, CSS and other web technologies
-Excellent interpersonal and professional skills with a focus on service- and customer-oriented communication
-Experience with database construction and programming (MySQL and SQL Server)
-Familiarity with UNIX development environment
